Our Services

What We do, How We Help

Children’s Developmental Services provides intensive developmental therapy to children 3 to 17 years old in various settings, including the home and out in the community.

Behavior Intervention

Behavior Intervention is an intensive therapy that targets socially important behaviors interfering with a child’s ability to function and thrive in the home and community. Our intervention specialists can extinguish negative behavior while teaching and empowering children to find new ways to get their needs met and interact with others.

Habilitative Intervention & Support

Our staff help children learn and refine skills necessary for everyday life, such as daily living and social skills. Our professionals work to teach your child these skills in both home and community settings. We teach and coach each child on proper social behavior in advance and provide support during an interaction. Our intervention specialists provide consistency for your child while participating in community activities such as playing with peers appropriately, attending events, and participating in various social activities.

Clinical Assessment & Individualized Treatment Plans

A clinical supervisor conducts necessary assessments of your child to ensure they are an excellent fit for our services. Once a child becomes a client of Children’s Developmental Services, a clinical supervisor will write an individualized plan for your child. This plan and its goals are tailored to address your child’s specific needs and skill deficits.

Family Training & Education

When appropriate, our skilled intervention staff will teach your family the methods and tools we use so the child can to continue to practice what they’re learning. This helps families understand the meaning behind the child’s behavior and also provides families with the knowledge of how to effectively extinguish or encourage behaviors. The child can go on to generalize what they learn during a session to their everyday life.
